An album solely to benefit the rebuilding of Enterprise High School and for the community will be released Tuesday, Dec. 16.   “We Are Enterprise” is a collection of inspirational and moving songs recorded by renowned country music artists including Richie McDonald, Aaron Tippin, Darryl Worley, George Jones, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie, John Anderson, Lorrie Morgan, Deborah Allen, Clint Black and Shelly Fairchild.

The CD project, of Country Crossing Records of Ronnie Gilley Entertainment, and music industry producer of the likes of Tim McGraw and Toby Keith, is a joint effort to assist in the rebuilding of the high school and to embrace the community of Enterprise, Ronnie Gilley said.

“The March 1, 2007 tornado touched everyone in this community, and as a matter of fact, touched almost everyone in the south and the nation,” he said. “The tornado has come and gone, but a lot of scars are left because we lost eight students and an Enterprise resident in that storm.”

Gilley said he and James Stroud spoke much about the aftermath of the tornado and how it devastated this area.

“We knew we wanted to do something to help and all of these country music icons also wanted to help the community,” he said. “This is a way of giving tribute and a way of embracing the community once again.”

Each artist performs a song on the CD, including one of the greatest living legends of country music, George Jones. Jones will perform his version of Amazing Grace on the CD.

The CD release and celebration is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 16, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Enterprise WalMart location. Appearing for the release in-store to sign copies of the CD are country music artists Darryl Worley, Aaron Tippin and Lorrie Morgan.

Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., the artists will be at the Dothan WalMart location on Montgomery Highway.

Both WalMart locations will have plenty of CD’s for sale and “We Are Enterprise” will be available at major digital retailers.

“This not only is a great CD to have, but it’s an excellent Christmas present to give,” Gilley said. “We hope everyone will come out and join us during this special time for our community.”
