| Richie McDonald goes home to perform concert at South Plains College |

Richie McDonald - a solo recording artist who, for 16 years,
was the lead singer with country recording act Lonestar - will perform a free
concert at 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Texan Track at South Plains College in
Levelland.
McDonald, a graduate of Coronado High School in Lubbock, and studied sound technology at South Plains College in 1983-1984.
He left Lonestar in 2007 to pursue his solo career.
Musicians from the SPC Creative Arts Department will open the concert, and also back McDonald during his performance.
While with Lonestar, McDonald recorded the vocals for such hits as "Amazed," "I'm Already There," "Everything's Changed," "Smile" and "No News."
